Most common situations
• Severe dental phobia preventing any conventional treatment
• Children who will not accept treatment and have several active cavities
• Patients with a disability or condition that makes treatment in the practice impossible
• Situations where the risk of not treating outweighs the risk associated with anaesthesia
At Pure Clinic, sedation or general anaesthetic is only offered once a gradual approach using conventional care has been attempted, wherever that is possible.
Every situation is assessed individually, taking into account:
• the number of teeth to be treated,
• the risk of infection,
• the patient's age and ability to cooperate,
• and the impact on their overall health.
When this option is chosen, treatment is carried out in a safe, controlled setting, initially favouring sedation (MEOPA).
If this does not allow the treatment to be completed, a general anaesthetic may be proposed, in collaboration with specialist teams.
